Ignition Dual platform problems?

ok i have troubles playing DDR on my Xbox when i try to use my brand new ignition dual platform pad. the back arrow never works. The odd thing is that the pad works perfect on my friends PS 2. has anyone else had a problem like this or know if there is any way to fix it?
