max 300 to over rated?

do you think that max 300 is too over rated? whenever i do that song i always hear all these noobs and vets say like " ooooo hes doing max300 wow" and stuff. so do you think max300 (or any max) is over rated and post any other songs that you think are over rated. and no butterfly please, we allready know that it is too over rated.

It's just been around longer so it has more exposure as a 10 than all the others. There was also a point in time where virtually no one in this country could pass it (See: DDR Freak video section, where a guy A's it... it was BIG news in the community for a while) so it has that reputation, even though people can do very well on it now.

If anything its under rated

So many people say it should be a hard 9

No hard 9 has 573 steps in less than 90 seconds
Personally I think its harder than PSurvivor, and Max unlimited

And it has more notes per second than any song but PSMO, even if they arent super hard, theres no way it coud possibly not be a 10.

i didnt say it wasnt awesome or wasnt a fun song or anything. what i meant by "over rated" is do you think people think of it too much as an "OMG I CANT BELIEVE HES DOING THAT SONG" song.

P.S. i know it has its reputation and i respect the song for it being one of the first "hard" songs besides paranoia.

Well, it was the first max ever, so thats why people like to play it; because it was the first. It is also the easiest of the maxes IMO, so you can still get a few "wow"s out of people around you and still do a good job

I think it's overrated as a Max song. For being an overall hard song, it's good. I think that Legend of Max is under-recognized for its difficulty, and deserves the reputation of MAX300 (Although that's probably because I can pass the latter and not the former).

As far as n00bs go...isn't the point of playing a 'super hard song like MAX300' to impress?

I'll admit it's is the first MAX so everyone knows it and probably memorized the beat and maybe too many people pin it as the easy 10 footer, but then again isn't Sakura and Bag easier than that even. Think about it. When they made MAX 300 they probably said "Too many people are doing good on this song let's make it harder"
which they did multiple times. So MAX 300 is a classic and a milestone in DDR songs considering it made the first step in songs like TLOM and PSMO. I mean most of them were made by NAOKI anyway.
