The regulators here are nazis when it comes to putting topics in the exact right folder. Isn't that part of the appeal of a forum, it not being organized? I mean seriously, it has to pertain exactly to the topic to be able to post it without it being locked. You gotta thing for a few minutes before hand, and look through the whole message to see something that could cause it to get locked because it doesn't 100% pertain to the topic and edit it out or put your message in the the chit chat folder. And whats up with these people who act like regulators? They are usually the first person to reply to a message before it gets locked down, to say you spelled this word wrong, or maybe you would have gotten more results if you put it in another folder. Are you guys nazi's or what? |

Another thing is all the sticky topics that say "Everything about ______ goes here" God help you if you should put it somewhere else! Who reads through hundreds of pages of unrelated posts anyway. If you have a question you want answered, why not just make a new topic? Does everyone regularly visit all of these sticky ones? I bet you would get a lot more replies if you just let us make a new topic when we want to. |

Do you even read the FAQ? Seeing as how your signing up to this forum kinda requires you to state that you understand it or something to that effect. If ya don't like it, leave. If you do like these forums, read the goddamn FAQ. _________________

Ok I read the FAQ. It said to do all kinds of bull crap to make sure there is no topic kinda like the one you are doing, and to backtrack and stuff like that. Whats the point. You say you reserve the right to delete topics you find worthless. Well, I don't see any other topics here like this one. I don't see any sticky topics like this one, so it doesn't seem worthless. Are you gonna delete my message and go against your own FAQ? I don't think it matters that the regulators think something is worthless, I think what matters is what the posters think. |

I don't know man, I've never had trouble having my topics locked. You just gotta think for a bit before you throw a topic out there. Anyway this goes in the feedback forum yo. _________________

Mr. Syxx says it all. I guess. PM would have worked too.
There is a reason why there are so many folders/topics. Look at the titles and you'll see why organization = a good thing.

The reason why things are deemed pointless is because... THEY ARE. Some topics just don't belong anywhere [leaving many to ask, WHY DID SOMEONE POST THAT STUPID CRAP?]
Stupid posts are not funny and waste bandwidth. You're not paying for this bandwidth. And the owner can do what he wants with it.

Exactly. It isn't that hard to figure out if your topic is going to be locked or not. Yes, it is true, it seems to be a lot more strict than a lot of forums I've gone to, but whatever. Live with it, it isn't that bad. _________________

I agree to a certain extent. These boards are far too modded. One thing that I saw that upset me was a person posted on a board asking if there are certain songs that people don't play because the difficulties are out of their range (Such as witchdoctor being a 4 on standard and a hard 8 on heavy when your tackling 7 foot songs). His topic got locked and the mod pointed to "you should have asked this on the what's your favourite song topic" WTF! It seemed like something perfectly resonable to post and I would have responded if it wasn't locked. As well, I rarely read the stickied topics because I don't care to catch up on stuff sometimes after I read through 20 pages of it 2 months ago. It's hard to find ANY topic that won't get modded anymore, even the newer players who are asking for help get enough slack when they have only been on these boards a week. It makes me not want to post anything- A LOT.
Of course, stupid things should get locked. But there are a lot of things that get locked for absolutely no reason. |

If there is a big problem there are other ddr message boards out there that aren't as heavily moderated. It's up to you to find them or if you really want to know PM me. _________________

It kinda needs to be modded so heavily. I did a quick tally, and there's over a million posts and a lot of members. If topics weren't regulated and/or locked with the haste and ironfist that they are, this site might not even exist due to excessive bandwidth and lack of funds.
When's the last time any of us donated to the cause? |

A> If you have an issue with how a particular moderator is doing their job, talk to them about it.
B> If you have talked to them about it and are still unsatisfied, talk to the head admin about it (me.)
C> Your complaint thread does no good in a forum not designed for it, especially since this should have been taken up with the moderator directly ANYWAY. If this thread was supposed to be anywhere, it should be in Site Feedback.
D> If you don't like the rules of the board, you're not being forced to stay here. _________________
