Meango Metal Pad (and clones): Product Link N/A
MSRP: N/A ($100 -> $120)

Product Description: This pad is, as far as I can tell, identical to the BNS Metal Pad with sole differences being the different arrow panels (similar in appearance to those in the TX-1000), and the fact that the lower-left and lower-right panels are solid and not sensor-triggers like the BNS pad. It features the same lighting system and appears to have the same construction. Start and Select buttons are located on the front edge of the pad.

Thanks to kinesin for the pic.

Unlike the Bns it only has 6 step buttons and comes with built in Playstation controller - start & select are on the front edge.

I've had one of these, got it off eBay

Panels broke in a week

Start and Select buttons broke in a week

Bends easily

Crappy wiring

I'd never buy it again.

My pad looks just like this one except it does NOT have the graphic of the dancer in the center. Also, the picture doesn't show if it has a seperate box w/ Start and Select buttons or not. Mine has a seperate black box that says START & SELECT.

I am trying to find out if this is the same mat because I want to get DDR: With Mario but the box only works with PS2. Thanks!

EDIT~ I just looked at the black box and it says on it "CYPHER GAMES". I did a Google Search and only got soft pads. What mat do you think I have?

Maybe the one that says "Cypher Games" in the START HERE thread? >.>

Oh...and given your current sig, I think you need to reconcile this statement:

I have a mat that looks like this one but it says it's made from Game Depot. I bought it off to Ebay but I can't find it anywhere now. I have had to fix the wiring numerous times with my soldering gun. I am debating getting rid of both of the mats altogether. I don't think anyone would buy them on Ebay though because one of the arrows still shorts out sometimes and I can't guarantee the mat will work after shipment. Any thoughts on how to get rid of the mats? Maybe I should just take them to the junkyard or selling off the arrow parts?

See the funny thing is about these cheap pads, beginners usually buy them. and thus why they don't normally have a problem with the performance. but when us better people who play 8,9,10 and up footers, they break like really fast. They look like good pads, but aren't. I've played on TXs, And BNS pads. I don't like them. I don't even like the CF pads. I guess I am just really picky.
