School DDR clubs/Teams

I couldnt find this thread anywhere else so i thought ide make it. If there is already a thread like this, please redirect me. Ok i was kinda looking to start a club or something at my school. I was wondering if anyone has done it and what exactly you do in your club.

well, im not in a club/team since i just moved, but in my old team we used to just get together to play ddr. of course youll probably have to put up posters to let people know your starting one in the school. also, you sholud give it a name, it can be the name of your favorite song or whatever youd like to call it. once you do that you should try to get team shirts with your team name on them (try to get black ones, white ones look cheap) and where them during tournaments and/or if you do a two person freestyle run. after a while and if you guys are good you should make a web page with the members list on it, and, of course, invitations to join your team.(some teams deny members that arent good enough, that ones up you) well, thats all the advice i can give, good luck with your team.

Why havn't we made an official DDR Club's thread??

I actually started my own DDR club in my school. I had to make so many posters, make PA announcements, and of course sell t-shirts. Unfortunately, I'm the only good one there.

We gather into a room and play DDR most of the time, helping each other. On Tuesdays I try to convince as many members as I can to come to an arcade with me. This week, nobody wants to go...

My school was so DDRless, and you might be suprized at how many people join. Most of making the club is getting people to know.

Watch the commercial for guiness beer and you'll know the word I'm thinking of. I might start a team in my school after I get a little better and find some others there with some actual skill.

Well, being in a small college. I doubt that there would be a DDR club on campus.

Though the only thing that comes close are eather The Gaming club or the Recreation Club.

i've got a 5-man ddr league-club thing (we started mostly cause we all started reading 10k commotion... if you've never read that, you should) and we just get together and play a lot. good stuff, but we'd like to see some league/team based tounaments. that would be the cools.

well i sent an email to my assistant priciple of my school. It looks like is going to happen. There are around 20-30 people in my school who play ddr, so it would be a decent sized club. I was planning on having club based tournaments, but have then open to people outside of my school. It should be pretty big. In our club we will need to include the following:
1. Tech Practice (PA)
2. Freestyle
3. Double
4. Lessons
There are a lot of peole interested in joining that have never played, so they want lessons. so ya. i think that is what we will do. Maybe even get some shirts if everyone agrees.
