A question on floppy pads! =o

You know the little tip thing on this site about floppy pads? Putting them on a piece of wood and covering them with hardwood floor covering?

Besides my beloved ignition pad, I have a floppy pad. I sort of .... broke it... but it still works enough as a backup >_o.

Now to my real question. If I wrap this thing, can I use it with shoes?
