Gomen kudasai... I'm new here...

Hello. I found lots of the threads here, well..., too threatening to post in. That and I was too lazy to read the entirety of the 90+ pages. Well, here goes.

My DDR name (although it don't matter since i'm not that good anyway) is ChaoSpectre. (SPCT)
I'm old enough, and I am not a novice (newbie, nub, n00b, dumb- whatever). I am skilled enough to warrant more than a passing interest in DDR. I'm can pass most 8's and some 9's. I guess that would make me an 8.5 rated player.

Don't you hate stagnation? I mean after not playing for a while, you stink a bit. I did. I played 2 songs in my post-dormant game, Matsuri Japan Heavy No Mods and Candy Heavy No Mods.
Anyone smart enough to realize goes, "Only 2 songs? You failed your second?" Yes I did. I B'd Matsuri and was like "Yay, I'm not so bad!". Then Candy came up, and I suck at it. I admit it wasn't a good choice at that point, but I couldn't think of anything else. So I play it, and my legs give out. Royal flunk. I couldn't continue because of the numbness in my lower legs. I would have, but I could feel a dull pain and nothing else. I had problems walking.

...Now comes the part where you should have skipped to. Does anyone have any advice as to how to escape a post-dormant stagnation?

That always happens when you don't do something for a long time. Keep playing and in another week you'll get used to it.

I agree. Getting back into the swing of things takes a bit, especially after not playing for such a long time.

I could have seen that... I was hoping to not have to use my home version...

For one, I seem to have missed out on the intro thread. Things got too intimidating. Also, if I had posted there, being a general use thread, would I have gotten responses?

well... even as intimidating as it can be, the introductions thread is there for an obvious reason... most probably you woudn´t get any response but that´s because most people don´t care about your name, age or whatever personal info you could have post there... what people would really care about would be your opinions on various subjects regarding ddr or anything else

and, the other part of your thread is ok, just in the wrong place... you shoud try DDR Gameplay
and just in case... read before you ask anything, most probably a question like this has already been answered gazillions times before
