The announcer always distracts me while doing MAxX UNLIMITED, and I end up losing concentration and failing faster than I usually would. Not to mention on exotic ethnic and bag too. Does he bother anyone else too?

That announcer drives me crazy...I wish there was an option to shut him up! He always got somethin stupid to say! Here's some lines that especially piss me off:
"Do you have cold? *coughs*"
"Ashdadoursa!"
"Don't get depressed."
"LET'S D-D-R!!!!"
"Yaaaahoooo!!!!!"

I have to admit, the 5th mix guy is funny. E4.gif

I =LOVE= the announcer.

Nothing makes my day than finishing my last song of the day, turning around towards anyone who may have been watching me and mimicing him:

"That was... the ultimate dance.... thank you very much..... I can't stop crying....... BUCKETS of TEARS!!! Awwhawwha..."

(honestly, I never notice him in game...)

Old school announcer is better.

But the meanest announcer is the female announcer in Solo (I think).

I usually tune out and only listen to the song, and on Extreme the announcer doesn't talk as much as he does in other mixes so it's not THAT bad.

What does get on my nerves are the announcers from the Pre-Max era, mainly the 3rd mix guy. He talks so much that it makes me want to cry. Haha, plus the danger thing is evil where it covers some of the arrows, and on top of that you have this crazy talkative announcer that gets you offbeat. frown.gif *bitch mumble groan*

Well, on DDR Ultramix for x-box if you go into options on the main page you can select to turn of the announcer (you can probably do the same for MAX2)

The announcer only gets me mad when i fail i song i can always pass, or just a fail a song a i want to pass really bad and try really hard (Max 300) and he makes fun of me E2.gif

lol

My brother hates the announcer. He said that he turned him off in Max1.
I personally like the announcer, or maybe I just got used to him.

Just out of curiousity, WHO IS the MAX announcer?

I know Thomas Howard is 1st-5th (not counting Solos...)...

Bleh. In the arcade the announcer doesn*t bother me one bit, because it doesn*t talk as much, But on my friend*s home version Max2 and 1 It gets reaaally annoying so we usually shut it off. E4.gif Mwuahahaaa.

hmmm...the announcer doesn't bug me when I'm playing but it's funny when he yells "Yaaaahhhoooo" in the middle of a song...but what "slightly irritates" me is when you fail song he says "Do you you have a cold, cough cough" that's just frickin' retarded... laugh.gif
