We've actually kicked around the idea of a "Mod of the Month" or "Mod of the Week" or whatever party.

kewl.... what i ment is, we should put the best mod on the front page and we should tell why that mod became a mod for a day or etc....

Like I said, we (at least IG and I) have kicked this idea around. It would be something where everyone could vote on the "mod of the month" or whatever, and then they could also submit questions to ask the mod. Then there would be an "interview" answering those questions. A kind of "Get to know the mods" thing.

Well actually, some of us mods did fill one out over a year ago. But for some reason, we didn't do anything with them after we filled them out. |

A daily feature wouldn't work. You'd run out of people before the end of the month and the daily deadline makes it difficult to get thorough poll results. The monthly/weekly idea is more reasonable and easier to fit around tight schedules.
I would imagine that this could be automated to some extent by calculating poll results that are emptied on certain intervals, but a weekly monthly would be easier to watch. |

Perhaps on the flipside of this idea, maybe moderators can nominate a user that they believe to show the qualities of a good community member  ok yeah that's enough.

Like SSR, only focused on one person.
Yeah, I'm sure people would love to have their PM box spammed with "you're a cocksucking whore." I think evn got something like that.

Yeah, thats true. Don't forget about the fact that everybody will be warned for not liking that person when he was a mod, and the non-sensical bannings. Actually, I think that might be ammusing to watch happen.

Um yeah ok like I was really saying to make them a mod for a day. I'm sorry that the person that made this thread isn't the greatest with typing his subject but I don't mean it as in "Oh you're cool let's make you a mod for a day".
It's more like, let's take someone who's a good community member to the site, someone helpful, someone that contributes and make them the DDR Freak member of the month or member of the week. Maybe even multiple people, this board is big enough. I'm not saying to give them mod privelages or anything like that, we've seen what people do with that. which I happily stayed out of.

Will this "Mod of the Week" party include a keg and some malt liquor in the party? If so I'm all for this idea. I think the drunken posting of the poster who shall only be known as "Drunken Hat" (for those who know who I'm talking about. O.G. stuff.) would be a fine addition to the Modly postings.

Sorry to say, we still have a few that are underage. Besides, I don't think they have quite figured out how to keep the alcohol from spilling out of the 56k lines, let alone higher bandwidths. That's just sloppy.
