Redoctane Ignition 2.0 Stepmania question

I have a real quick question. I have a psx=>parallel adapter for my computer but can't get it to work with my Ignition 2.0. I have a crappy softpad that is the generic one you can buy at Gamestop or wherever and it works fine, but the Ingition 2.0 just won't work. I have NTPad installed and everything. It's just when I try to callibrate it or play Stepmania it fires all the buttons at once for some reason. If someone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
