This may have been brought up in the past, but wouldn't the filter thoeretically be a violation of first amendment rights? And I'm not trying to be a wise acre, the thought just came to me a few minutes ago.
Your thoughts?

No, you're on a private system. The 1st Amendment only prevents you from the government trampling on your rights, not the people who run a message board. Sorry. |

And furthermore, the 1st Amendment doesn't guarantee that you have to be heard - it only insists that you can't be prevented from speaking. Our "censoring" of your words does not constitute an abridgement of your rights since you can just as easily take your speech off the Internet and make it known elsewhere. We'll make no effort to stop you outside our borders. _________________
