dwi freeze?

Well, I've been playing DWI, and it seems that I can get it to play one song... but then when I finish that song it just seems to stop. It doesn't completly freeze up, but i can still choose a song. But It doesnt play it at all. It doesnt go to the screen or anything. it just stays in the place where you choose a song. Yet the stage number goes up one everytime i choose the song. Just nothing happens. There are no sounds when this happens either. I find that the sounds stop when I see my score for the first song that I did. I looked through the faq's and the sticky seemed to be about sm for help. My apologies if i was supposed to put this in a different thread. I know thats annoying... But I'd really appriciate it if someone could help me Any ideas anyone?
