Instructions
Unzip the download into a suitable directory.
Open a command line window ( Start|Run cmd ).
Navigate to WHERE_YOU_UNZIPPED_IT\Dancing Monkeys\bin\win32\.
Run DancingMonkeys.exe followed by the filename of the music you wish to produce a step file for.
Dancing Monkeys will spend a couple of minutes analysing the music.
Then it will output a folder containing both StepMania and DWI step files and a shortened version of the music suitable for StepMania and DWI.
Now load StepMania or DWI and dance to the newly created step track.

Which part aren't you getting?

Command for changing folder is cd
example: cd "C:\program files\dancing monkeys\bin\win32"
To run it you type the name of the program filename.. and then the name/location of the mp3 you want it to use.. so
example: dancingmonkeys.exe "C:\windows\desktop\teethplaqueconspiracymetallica.mp3"

Such a method simply doesn't exist.

This is an easy to use program. You barely have to do a thing.

Go back and read the instructions on how to use the program, then try it again. If you get some kind of error, go read through the thread that's devoted to DM. Pretty much every possible error has come up and been dealt with already, so chances are if you hit a snag there's a solution for it in there. There's no need to start a new thread that's just going to get LoQ'd.

U know i think hes probably having the same problems i did where u would type that command line numerous times and it would give u some sort of odd error message. I was never able to fix it, then i got SM and i use the editor there instead. The instructions arent that crystal clear fellas. So really if its too difficult to use for u, dont use it.
