I was just wondering about everyones feeling on speed mods

Yay I say. It would be another way to get used to speed. Since speed is such a deciding factor in DDR, a speed mod would be very useful....

I use speed mods because i'm step illiterate and i'm starting to use solo alot to and a few regulars at my local arcade dont like it but i just cant tell the step difference without speed mods and i'm used to playing faster songs like MaXx or the like so when i play something lower the 200 or so BPM i'm screwed, and my big problem with this is tourniments cuz i cant use mods ........

Most tourney I have seen allow you to use speed mods but not stuff like solo "unless the person you are facing agrees to it" Also speed mods are a must for me because of the fast twitch muscle fibers in my legs, I can't do slow songs...Everything needs to be atleast 300bpm I also think to fast lol and slow songs mess my mind up..i get off beat.

if the boost counts then yay. if not, still yay. i can't do a song under 300 bpm without a speed mod, or the boost, or both

heh i've never played on boost lol, i might need to get used to it, does it seem to help anyone? It may take awhile getting use to just arrows being their then zoomm up at the top lol

For some really weird reason, I use boost on So Deep and it really helps me, but thats the only song

I dont see why someone would need to mod speed. Its kind of dumb. I think that if someone is used to the regular x1 speed and wants to try a different speed just for more challenge, or for the hell of it then fine, but i dont think its cool when people start off learning ddr on different speeds, its just cheap.... speaking about cheap.. may i also rant about bar rapists?
I hate them >_<

i usually use times 2 when im playing. one time at an arcade some little kid said that i only did well because i was using the speed mod, so naturally i had to prove him wrong. who am i to turn down a challenge. I chose bag as my song, and AA'd it on speed 1. i never saw that kid again.
