I think a lot of us experience this. Sometimes, I'll even see whole strings of steps from songs, like the beginning of Spin the Disc has been stuck in my head for like a week! _________________

This is perfectly normal. Happened to me after I started seriously playing.
Then again, most people called me insane _before_ this started happening... |

Lol, this happened to me when I first played DDR, i see like stars, or coloured arrows everywhere I look, it's was so weird first time, cause I thought I was going crazy or something.
But I seem to get used to it now, turn the lights on when you play see if it helps your eyes _________________

I have come to use the term "arrow eye" (as it appeared a long time ago in a post on these forums).
I'm not quite sure the scientific explanation, but it has something to do with your mind thinking about the game whilst you are not playing it. I beleive arrow eye is a large part of learning how to play the game, as it allows you to think about how to execute patterns effortlessly over and over in your head.

Isn't it fun when after you play a few games of DDR that when you close your eyes you can see arrows?
My God, it's so strange. It's just like Tetris, except with arrows. _________________

Think of it as practice when your eyes are closed _________________

Despite it happening to everyone, it's evidence you're playing/thinking about DDR too much, and you should take a break. Not healthy to be that obsessed about one thing. _________________

As much as I REALLY want to call this thread stupid, if i'm being honest, I had this, too. I got it when I was learning to play DDR, and slowly getting better.
It lasted about a month. I also got it for about a day when playing pop n music for the first time. It's not as uncommon as you'd think. |

I'll admit it I see them too. I have been playing for about a month and I see them after playing for a while, my friends have the same thing. The other thing is I also have to urge to move my feet in DDR motion when listening to songs that have nothing to do with DDR. I also sort of see arrow patterns to the songs sometimes. My friend is also a victim of this symptom. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to turn on my thirteen inch arrow.....I mean T.V . Um people I am not obsessed. _________________

I got it a lot during my first month of play. Now I don't get it so much (unless I play a bunch in the dark). So the more you play, the less your brain will do that. I find that to be a common theme. |
