Got a question here...
My USB converter works fine with my dance pad, but I want to use a PS controller to play games on my comp. I borrowed a friend's PS2 Dual Shock and it worked fine. I went to Wal-Mart and got a MadCatz PSone/PS2 Digital Controller, and the computer acknowledges that i've connected an HID but it doesn't recognize when I press buttons on the controller. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver that came with the converter, but nothing changed.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem? Am I missing something or did I just waste my money on this controller? |

if it's 3rd party, it might be trying to draw too much power from the adapter than the adapter can handle. Only official sony controllers are guaranteed to work with the adapter (although many 3rd party controllers do as well)
I'm guessing you got a revision 2 model. Those had power problems with many controllers. It's since been fixed with their revision 3. |
