Hey all, i go to a local college (penn state berks) which is a subsidiary of the larger Penn State. Anyways, i've noticed that some people had been able to get their colleges to get ddr machines and I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to go about it. Im not even sure who to contact because or website... www.bk.psu.edu, throughs you loopholes everywhere you can think of. We do have a Tekken 4 machine in our little arcade though so it might actually be possible to get DDR, so please, any help is greatly appreciated, thx! _________________

Hey, I go to Penn State too (Worthington Scranton campus), and someone here tried to get a DDR machine in our mini-arcade. For some reason there was a screwup and we got Dance Maniax instead. So, now what we do here is some kid in the IST club brings in his PS2/X-Box, hooks it up to the 36'' TV in the cafeteria, and charges $1 a game, and the money goes towards the IST club. The kid that does it just got DDR Extreme, now we're all waiting for him to mod his PS2 so we can all fail Max Period. _________________

ahhh cool...ya i would start up a club but theirs no way for me to find out what the actual following of the game is at the campus, i really think penn state should have some kind of set up of local forums on their site for discussion, but o well. Do you know what you guys did to go about and get that dance maniax machine? ie, what department head or whatever.. _________________

You could probably go to www.petitiononline.com and create it and get the people at Penn to sign it. You should probably put something in there about fundraising all the money for the machine or something, so that they Dean or whatever will look at it in a better view. _________________

You guys are lucky that your Penn State campuses have arcades. I went to Penn State Abington for 3 years and we didn't have an arcade or anything. I guess part of the problem was that it was an all commuter school (no dorms on campus). |

I didn't have to get them to get one; they've had it since years before I even went here (Texas A & M at college station). They jack with the prices a lot though, and because of the university-bureaucracy it's real difficult to get things like that changed at all. Woe is me. Or, well, woe *would* be me if I actually played that 5th mix very often...
Anyways, I suggest buying it and donating it. Fastest, most-likely-to-work method. XD _________________

I arrived here in Pittsburgh @ CMU in August, and went to this page looking for the closest DDR machine, and low and behold... the University Center had just got one a mere few weeks beforehand. I am the luckiest person ever _________________

Well, it's not really my colledge, I found that there was a machine there so I went and played it. It's a DDRExtreme, and it's .50 for 3 songs. I think they just got it. Some bady probably talked to the arcade owners and donated some money. That's how I would do it. |
