All files except for the mp3's are created by you, so you have ownership over them(that is if you made your own graphics and did not copy the picture without permission). If you own the mp3, then all files are legit.
The problem arises when you have a mp3(or even a graphic file) on your system that was downloaded and it is not your property.
Easy way out and a good conscience, use your own music and create your own art - then you have music that you like and art work to be proud of.
As SM itself, the application is free to download and use. If my understanding is correct, the application is opensourced which means you may make changes to the code. You work as a community and try to build it bigger, brighter, better. However, opensource does not have to be free, it is the designers choice (and once again this is what I think). I truley have never gotten into reading the full legal descrip of opensource so I may be corrected. |
