Maybe im the only one, but in my experience, the songs on DDR that I really REALLY like (meaning i can play them on repeat for weeks on end and memorize all the words even if they aren't english) don't seem to exist anywhere in the real world. For example, So Deep was done by Silvertear. After extensive research i have found that Silvertear is a band from Belgium and has only done one known song, you guessed it: So Deep. Of its many mixes, i can only find the full version of perfect sphere remix. frust.gif why must they do this to me . . .

then again, maybe im just search engine illiterate. riiight.gif

Others have made custom mixes of So Deep. I've also seen a 3 minute version of so deep floating around, that isn't really the original (or maybe just edited down).

There is a website called Mixx Unlimited that highlights different versions of official DDR songs. They are mainly used for stepfiles, but it is interesting to look at. However, I've lost the web link.

I feel your pain also....

Yeah, So Deep is such an awesome song and I have been trying to find the full version of it... I mean, the DDR version is just too short; by the time you press play, the song's already over! E13.gif

Behold, discogs.com, your source for everything related to electronic music you need to know.

Silvertear profile page:
http://www.discogs.com/artist/Silvertear

Notice two of the names - Christophe Chantzis and Erik Vanspauwen.

Now look at the Ian Van Dahl profile page:
http://www.discogs.com/artist/Ian_Van_Dahl

Quote:
Ian Van Dahl is the new project of Christophe Chantzis and Erik Vanspauwen. Ian Van Dahl was founded in the beginning of 2000. Christophe Chantzis is no stranger in the Belgian dance scene... he was already involved in projects like Absolom and Astroline in the past. Together with the leading vocalist Annemie Coenen, they together form Ian Van Dahl.

What you need to realize is that aliases and side projects and spinoffs are a natural thing in electronic music. Consider Fatboy Slim - who has been a part of or the entirety of the Housemartins, Beats International, Freakpower Under Freakpower, Pizzaman, and Mighty Dub Katz.

This is just the way things work. Needless to say, if you like Silvertear, pick up some Ian Van Dahl.
