Help With DDR --- Dance Mat Noise

Okay, here it goes. For Christmas, I wanted to get Dance Dance Revolution: Ultramix. Anyways, I thought I was going to get it, then I found it wasn't coming to Canada. My parents wouldn't let me import it, so I am stuck waiting for some schmuck who works at EB Games to order them up here. Well, today, my parents went to the local mall and THEY ACTUALLY FOUND A COPY (The one with the mat included). But here is the problem;

My mom came home, and I asked her if she found it. She said "Yes", but I'm not allowed to get it!! Here's why; It will create too much of a Ruckus throughout my house. She doesn't want me jumping around upstairs. I asked if I could move the Television to the basement (unfinished, no carpet). My mom said My two younger brothers wouldn't want to go down there to play their Video Games. So THEN I asked if I could move the Xbox to my room, with the TV. She said "No, it will still make a thumping noise around the whole house". And they don't want me to have a TV in my room.


So, I'm asking if there is a way to Mod my dance mat so it reduces the vibration and thumping as much as possible. Thank you to all that answer.
