Drivers for adapters.

Okay, I know that there is one specific thread out there that list the adapters, tell you which one you should use and all of that, believe me I've read it. I would click the links in order to get the driver for my adapter, and it would be a dead link. I'm using the printer port adapter, NOT USB, on a windows 98 machine. Sounds simple enough.
This is where my problem starts. I've finally gotten the drivers, I read the forum and searched on google. The problem I'm having now is installing all the stuff. I download the zip file and I don't know how to install this stuff. I unzip it, and there isn't a .exe file to run or anything like that, where am I supposed to put this stuff? I've read the read me file that comes with the stuff but it tells me nothing. Every thread that I've read has just been, "oh I got it installed, working great." I need to know how to install the stuff.
