These pads are really great. I've had mine for 4 months now and I can pass 10 footers.

I dont have one but generally you can put carpet on the bottom, or rubber for your situation.

I can do ten footers easily on my friends BNS pads. Their a very decent soft pad, comparable to the RO Ignitions.

My friend has a hardwood floor and it does slip a little when you do faster songs, though its generally not an issue. If you have carpet, you should be totally fine.

EDIT: I just remembered the trouble we had when we brought the BNS pads over to a friends house. He has thick carpeting, and when we played, the pad actually sort of caved in and bent a little bit. I imagine this isn't very healthy for the pad. If you have this sort of carpeting I suggest you put some ply wood down.

It is definitely a great pad, I passed everything in Max USA on one. I've heard that using it on carpet can lead to some problems, so I recommend using it on a hard floor.

After a lot of heavy use one of the arrows on mine became overly sensitive, but it is still quite usable except on really hard Oni courses (it tends to cause one miss every few songs when it's acting up). This problem exists in all the ignition style pads I've seen, my friend's RO had it in the right arrow.

Sadly I don't use mine anymore really, though it's because I build a metal pad, which of course is better :-), though not nearly as easy for sliding from one button to another.

My BNS Ultra Extreme pads (whatever) rock. I've had them since August and they haven't failed me yet. As for slipping, I just used a bit of masking tape on the bottom and they hardly move. And I have a really slippery carpet.
