I wanna get another pad to play doubles on, or if I have a friend over. I already have the BNS Ignition 2.0 and I love it, but I dont think I wanna shell out another 50 bux... so whats the best (and cheapest) secondary pad I could get? I'm getting Max 2 (trading in original Max) so I thought I might get the bundle.

50 bucks? I payed 350 for my Cobalt Flux and you're fretting over 50 bucks? I'd just go out and buy another BNS 2.0, but hey, that's just me. Besides, 2 different looking pads side by side can look kinda weird.

Do not trade Max for Max2. It's infinitely better.

Umm, good for you. Not everyone has that much cash to throw around.

Thats your opinion. I like MAX 2 better and so do lots of people.

Anyway, for another Ignition style pad try here:
http://www.levelsix.com/products/playstation2/deluxeDDR_v21.shtml

It was mentioned a few threads down. I have no idea if its good or not but it is cheaper. I've had experiences with the BNS pads and their surprisingly decent. You might just want to save your cash and get another one.

EDIT: While the pad that comes bundled with MAX 2 is a great deal, and a pretty darn good pad, it might not be a good idea if you want to play doubles. If your BNS pad is the same one I'm thinking of, then it has a foam insert. The Komami pad that comes with MAX 2 doesn't. Your BNS pad being so much thicker might cause some problems playing doubles. Just something to consider.

If you don't want to play doubles and just want to do versus mode with a friend, then go for it. From what I've heard the new Konami pad rocks. E1.gif

Employed people do.

A person working two days a week at minimum wage can afford a RO metal pad in just a few little weeks. EVen with hordes of student and car bills as myself, 10hrs a week for one month and you'll have cash to spare.

You are correct. However, not everone is like you and I, and actually want to spend that much money on DDR pads.
You also don't know how old the original poster is. They didn't specify an age or how much money they make. For all we know, the poster could be 13. I responded to their post with what information he/she gave. I'm sorry if you felt my post was rude. I thought Max573's was.

My point is, you don't necessarily need the best pad to have an enjoyable home DDR experience. E1.gif

You can check out this thread where I originally saw the pads:
http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=75004
I think some one posted some info about them.

Or you can dig through the soft pad thread:
http://www.ddrfreak.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=49672

I'm sure you'll be able to get some information on the pads by searching around the forum.

I know that its steep, but, in my opinion, your best bet would be to stick with the BNS pads. They're obviously great pads, right? Not that you can just pull money out of the air, but you should really work hard for that 2nd BNS pad.
