What are bad things to do in playing DDR?

Ok, i know everyone feels differnt about this, but what is like a bad thing in DDR? ex. speed modding, bar raping, possibly boost? reasons for your beliefs would be nice too . . .

anyone from Md, send me a message, im tryin to meet new DDR ppl . . . preferably ones that wont show me up

try not to freestyle when you know you cant and try not to play a song that you dont know really well. and never stealth w/ dark or x8 unless u memorized it or really familiar with it.

For me, what really ticks me off is bar raping. I mean in my honest opinion, if you're really good, you would use the bar to regain your balance and not to use it as a little helper. However, if you're having trouble with a cata or 10 footer like Sakura, Across The Nightmare, etc., I believe it's more acceptable to use it for practice purposes only, since you are trying to learn the moves.

Also, the worst,

and I mean the worst thing to do when freestyling is the dreaded Matrix Walk. I mean, why damage the machine, something so sacred, something that gives you the ability to entertain many people as well as bringing many players together?

it's been done a million times.

check out the speed mod and bar raping discussions in the past by using the search function, and stop making us say what's already been said a billion times.

Bar Raping; The hell? Who cares. If somone can already pass every song on the machine, without the bar, why not rape to preserve stamina, and try to get some AAA's??? You won't see those Japanese players getting those Max 300 AAA's without the bar, assured.

Matrix Walking; Once again, the hell? I do not freestyle, but, I sure do not care if someone Matrix Walks, under the condition, theat they do it the right way, which is all the way on the edge of the macine, on the metal bracket.

Freestyling; Why not freestyle, just because you suck at it, ever heard of playing for fun, instead of just showing off for others?

Unknown Songs; The only way to get good at a song you do not know very well, is to play it...

But uh... My advice is don't make enemies. Just steer clear of talking about other players behind their backs, that never does any good. Oh, and yeah, try and bring something to make you smell better afterwards. Could be why no one from MD is talking to you...

People who drink water
yada yada yada...

I've only been on DDR Freak for a few months and all I ever hear about is this bull sh.it! People, get the fu.ck over it! It's just a game! You know, like for fun!? Or did everyone forget about all this. Or are you so dam.n perfect yourself that you can go and bad mouth every little thing that one person does, that you don't. Get over it, move on, GET A LIFE!

Playing the same song more than once or a group of songs over and over.

I can understand if you practice LoM as the first stage and maybe come back to play it as the Final Stage or Extra Stage but don't just play the song all three times because you like it or whatnot.

Same goes for a group of songs. I've seen people play the same three song each time they go up. Even if you switch the order you play I'd rather see you experiment with something new and take the chance of possibly failing it than stick with the same ones.

That is really the only thing I have a problem with.

Matrix Walking is only bad it you kick the machine's screen and destroy everything. It's ok and cool looking when you kick the machine's screen and it still exists.

Freestyling when you know you can't... my first freestyle tournament ended up being that way. I had no clue what to do, but I went in to bring the tournament together (it wouldn't have happened witthout me) - $bill can vouch for that.

Bar raping... who the hell cares, as stated before. They're using the bar and you don't. You can shut up about it. Don't got screaming "OH LOOK THIS GUY'S RAPING THE BAR! HE SUCKS!" in an arcade when someone is doing a song on light and hasn't been playing for that long.

Speed mods... risk high speeds, fine it's your money. x2 to view the notes better? Fine... it's your prefrence.

Other mods... eisk dark, reverse, hidden, sudden, stealth. Go ahead, it's not my money.

Playing the same song over and over again I can see... it annoys people to hear the same song 3 times again.

Shadowing. If the person doesn't want you to do it, then don't do it. If you allow them to, then it's fine.

Telling someone they suck because they're not as good as you, leave them alone. You were probably at one time just as bad as them. Don't disrespect them when they haven't done anything to you.

Unknown songs. If you want to look good, choose a song you know. If you want to try new things, then choose unknown songs.

Hogging the machine. The people/person in front of you had to wait their turn, they got up and then let you on. Show the same courtesy.

Bar rapers, guys with big egos that can't back it up, bar rapers, hecklers, bar rapers, guys that stand there with their mouths open like they just won the lottery and then find out that the ticket is fake, and bar rapers.
