I'll admit. I sorta like about half of the new songs... but why did they put SO MUCH stuff from older mixes in it; and PS2-wise, almost none worth worrying about? I mean, is it just me, or is DDRMAX still the freshest-feeling mix (trackwise)? It has more current/new stuff still than MAX2 or Extreme, and only about 10-or-so songs from older versions. MAX2 had a good amount of current-arcade material in it, and while there were new tracks; the KO ones were avoid-its, mostly. Plus, most of the hidden tracks were PS1-mix material.

But seriously, anyone with the other mixes has already bought 1/3 of Extreme already. And if you've ever played/owned an import PS1 game, this almost comes across as shareware. I already made a "Reruns" and an "Import-Licenses" thread aimed at this specific issue... at least if they ARE going to repackage older-mix stuff, they should make it GOOD older-mix stuff.

The new stages are the saving grace, and together with the EX-arcade tracks, they make almost half the list. Oh, except each song tends to attract only a minority of players, each; meaning most people who buy this will mainly focus on 15-20 songs, period. -_-` Great.

I love that new interface though, and the new games/modes are really fun; if put into more serious practice. Would be nice if there were an option (like SSR) to put all courses/etc. on all-HVY/CHG, for those of us who HAVE played for more than 2 weeks... laugh.gif

BTW: It's been brought up in console, and locked. It's been repeated TO DEATH in the "Extreme Thread" specifically, and half of the EX-thread followers prefer it go elsewhere, out of their jabbery way.

Besides, it'll die in a week or so on it's own. E13.gif

Amazingly, not everyone has the other mixes. Some people are just getting in to it.

And sometimes, it's good to have repeat songs so that people have a couple songs they know and are comfortable with.

Anyways, locking.
