|
|
Has anyone had any side effects after playing DDR too long. I have.
I have had lots of them and here is a list.
Long Term: DDR Addiction (lasts about ? yrs.)
Long Term: Music stuck in your head (lasts about month)
Short Term: Everytime I blink I see tons of arrows(lasts about an hour)
Short term: Short on breath(lasts about 2 days)
Short term: Lost of Hunger(lasts about ? hours)
These are the ones I have experienced, but these are the ones that happen to me alot so tell me yours because i have a home pad and I never tried playin to long on an arcade version. _________________

I agree with the wallet one, I have seen the affects on that.
I spent a good $30 on DDR that I needed to make some payments and small bills I have.
The other affect people have when they first start playing is dreaming about DDR or just plain seeing arrows when you are daydreaming/sleeping. _________________

About that arrow thing, that used to happen to me too. Also, sometimes after playing Tetris Attack, I'd see paterns and stuff when I close my eyes.
And, I've lost probably around 40 lbs. since I've started playing DDR (2 years or so now, I guess. Maybe 3...). I guess it's just good exercise. |

God, it seems like everytime I get some money, it's gone. Just like that.
Also, about the dreams thing, NOBODY has had more DDR dreams than me. I swear, I've had like, about, eight DDR dreams so far!
I'M OBSESSED!!!!!!
and there's nothing wrong with having the music stuck in your head. Sometimes I stick it in my head b/c I like the song. _________________

The arrow thing is really common. My friend got it, then the first time I played for any appreciable amount of time (struggling through 4-footers, mind you) I got the same thing. It was freaky, but I'm used to it now. Kind of the mark of a true addict |

1. Ive been playing for about 2 1/4 of a year.
2. Yes there are many songs that are almost always stuck in my head
3. The arrow thing is old... Usually happenes to new DDRers but dont fret, the will go away in time... I miss them actually, They were my friends lol
4. Nope never short of breath for 2 days... if its 2 days then you might want to see a doctor, for me it only lasts about 1 miniute after a song
5. I believe you mean loss of hunger and no... i dont lose my hunger, in fact I get more hungry lol.
Weight loss is also a huge thing for me, im 170 now and i started at 210 so im so proud of me
I also experience some sweating but not bad (ive seen so much worse its disgusting) so i cant complain lol. _________________

Actually, you're a lot more focused on the arrows when you're drunk. I A'd Holic for the first time while under the influence, and damn, was it fun. Then I proceeded to play Max 300 Standard 6 consecutive times for no apparent reason. |

Some more:
Short term: Bad Days (lasts about 1 to ? days)
Short term: Anger Problems when I lose on any songs ecspecially easy ones(1 to 30 minutes)
Short terms: Loss of energy (lasts about ? days)
Short terms: worn out legs (lasts about a week)
Short term: Easily getting bored if play to much
Short term: Confusion
These are sorta weird but it rarley happens if I play for 10 hrs. _________________
