If you don't know what I'm talking about.. 1) you obviously don't have one, and 2) go to ebay.com and type in "arcade ddr" or anything like that and you should see em. They're home pads made out of metal with the trick bar attached to the back. It looks like one hell of a pad, but i've never heard any reviews. I don't even know what company makes them. But if anyone has one, let me know how it is. They claim to have a 0% noise level, which i HIGHLY doubt.. If they did, I would seriously consider purchasing one.

I don't have any first-hand information, but my friend was talking to this girl who had one, and she said it lasted about two weeks before it gave out on her. She suggested getting a good soft-pad and modding it instead of wasting the money on a metal one. Of course, this isn't 100%, since it just came to me through the grape vine, but still, I say, steer clear. It's impossible for it to have 0 noise level - or at least, highly improbable.

If it wasn't a Konami or Red Ignition pad, I don't know if I could trust it. I haven't had much luck with the other pads other than those. Those have lasted the longest in my experiences. And honestly, I don't know why you'd want a trick bar on a home pad, even a metal one. Unless it was supported by some very VERY strong, I don't think it would hold much weight when you used it. Yeah.. I agree.. but it's a shame. I just wanted to make sure.. Because the concept seems really good, but i highly doubt its as effective as I would like it to be.. Ahh forget it, I probably won't ever wind up with a metal pad.. Red Octane's the way to go, I guess.

Or you can be a little patient and wait for some people to get them and review.

I'm pretty interested in them myself, I already have one custom made arcade-styled DDR metal pad and its pretty good but I'm looking at another so I can play doubles at home.
