i mostly use speed mods but im tryign to stop by just playing the song over and over again until i get it and i don't use mods on the fast songs like dropout and max300 and sakura

also it takes the difficulty lower just like orion.78Ameruo Mix and bag so don't get into the habit of using mods k E10.gif

If you have a problem with a thread then stop wasting your time by posting in it....

I use 1.5x for the songs that I struggle in reading. As I get better at it with mods I move to it without. It's probaby best not to get into the habit of them in the first place.

No, I don't use speed mods.

Never needed them, except for figuring out the sort of tricky parts for Bag. I can't read arrows faster than 1.5x, because I just can't keep up. I'm too used to reading arrows normally.

Sounds to me like he's curious like most people. E13.gif

As for Speed Mods, yes I do use them. I like to use them and find nothing wrong with using them. The only time I hate using them is when they are left on by accident when picking a fast song. Oh well, it happens. E1.gif

Yes, I almost always use them.

Nowadays I tend to use the following:

63-65 bpm: x5
90-112 bpm: x3
119-185 bpm: x2
190-263 bpm: x1.5
270+ bpm: x1

I'm actually a 1.5 WHORE. I usually have a hard time reading arrows nomally a lot of the time.

In the arcade, anything (except Bag) under 200BPM gets a 1.5.

On Stepmania, just about anything (inc. 300, MaxX, LoM, and any other song except Bag) will get a 1.5

Bag---someone told me to give it a Speed mod of x3 (so I did) and I found that it took ALL of the challenge out of the song, so I am not using speed mods on that song. I'll wait until I can genuinely read or memorize it.

blink.gif I think I've found my Lower 48 twin... mod-wise, I mean. riiight.gif The only difference there is that the threshold is 220 BPM; anything at 200 gets the treatment as well. 1.5x whores represent! *shot* E15.gif

On an unrelated note, my Beatmania (teh Final) habits are just as horrible... Separate 2x (anything < 200 BPM) or even 3x ( anything < 110)

Yay! Twin!

(lol, 200bpm gets the treatment as well...Afronova and other songs at 200)

What songs are between 200 and 220?

1.5, Whoop, whoop!

On Extreme, there aren't any. In fact, the only song in the 201-259 bpm range is Mikkeneko Rock, which is mostly 246 bpm... unless you count Insertion, which is pretty slow until the end, when it reaches 225 bpm.
