I don't see much information regarding availability of the new Konami mat. I've seen the game+mat bundles showing up at stores lately, but that does me no good since I already have the game. Are individual mats expected to hit shelves soon?

I think the updated pad is being sold on it's own on this website

I don't know where else it is though.

Hmm, well that's a start. Maybe I'll check the mall location to see if they have any in stock there.

For those who have the new Konami DDR pads, are they any better than the original Konami pads?

I thought the initial run from the orignal "DDR" were pretty good, it'd be nice to see if they have been improved at all along with the anti-slip feature.

Yes, the new konami pad is amazing! It won't move at all and you can fold it up after you're done without "hurting it". When you next unfold it, it lays perfectly flat. It's everything you could hope for in a soft pad.

Interesting. Maybe I'll see if anybody will go half and half on the bundle so they can get the game and I can get the mat.

Well, I would check Fry's, but I'm pretty sure I've never seen one in my entire life.

But it's not as good as an ignition, right?

If its that price then you might as well buy two ignitions off of japanvideogames.com.

Okay, I found one. Not at Software etc., not at Funco Land, not at EB, not at Best Buy, and not at Target. It was at friggin' fye. Whatever. At least I've got one. And it was definitely worth $30. So if anybody else is looking for one, check the local fye and you might get lucky.
