|
|
Well, this topic is to, as you may or may not know, be dedicated to solving the enigma surrounding the strange song AM-3P, which has been around for almost 5 years now.
My friend and I were recently discussing various DDR songs and we got into a debate about AM-3P. For a long time, we were convinced we heard actual words in the song, and we were indeed correct, but it took us tons of analysis to finally figure out what the hell was being said, and even now we're still not 100% sure.
http://www.konami.co.jp/am/ddr/ddr2nd/dev.html
For a little background check, I visited the DDR 2nd Mix site and got the information regarding AM-3P, since they discussed it briefly. This is the Engrish translation of the section on AM-3P, since it gives the jist of what's going on.
Quote: | You think -- it is the appearance good tune very. Also popularity is high, don't you think? is. With -- next ' AM-3P '.
N to tell the truth with the tune where version is 4 type rank, the version which is adopted was the TYPE4. TYPE1? 2 more with underground has become minimal music constitution. The vocoder VOICE of the TYPE4 is voice of the people of the DDR production team. With B pattern Kansai, Kanto and Nagoya, the vocoder voice, Kyushu step, in the part of the rust, fighting martial arts as for the person who is understood no human rank it is, probably will be? By the way, as for the tune name, AM-3P, as for AM the AM equipment business headquarters of the (Japanese chars) is meant, origin of the 3p being to be produced in the D & the M division, does, the DDR series, but before name changes to the D & the M division, abbreviation of the party of the AM third development division of research is meant. |
So, AM-3P is the AM 3rd division of the production team, that one's been bothering me for a while, where the title came from. AM-3(rd)P(roduction team) I'm guessing. I saw on another site that mentioned AM-3P sounded somewhat like "radio waves" or something, which would explain the kTz, since AM radio waves are in khz...
NOW ONTO THE ACTUAL LYRICS!
Well, here's what we figured out so far.
(Stop?) the Revolution
D D R
D D R
Oh-oh-oh
(I want to feel your body?)
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
(I want to see your body shake?)
Kanto Steppu
Kansai Steppu
Nagoya Steppu
Kyushu Steppu (thanks to the 2nd Mix site for these four)
The Revolution
Uh-huh
The Revolution
Uh-huh
Move your body
Move, your, bo-dy
Move your body (these sound so much cooler when it's not Paula Terry screwing it up)
As you can see, we're not too sure about everything, but this is all we've gotten. Yes we have too much time on our hands, but we could use some input, anyone have any clues to help fill in the blanks?
By the way, does anyone know if that "16th note run of death" is made up of an instrument or a distorted voice sample? We couldn't figure that one out. _________________

Well, I don't have a whole lot of input, but I will say that I always thought the first words were either "Trance Revolution" or "Dance Revolution".
Those make more sense than "Stop the Revolution", ne? _________________

Good topic. I freaking love this song, even when I screw up. =D
"16th note run of death": you mean the AOWWA AOWWA AOWWA AOWWA? Sounds to me like a voice. That is, when people aren't singing along to it.
And they're 8th notes...unless you mean a different section.
I always thought the beginning was "shake your booty"...but revolution makes a lot more sense. That first word, though. Egh. Stop? _________________

That's a pretty cool find. You should submit them to animelyrics or something, because it's just going to get lost in these boards. _________________

I thought it always said 'Join the revolution' @ the beginning.
Either way, nice job on the lyrics. AM-3P is awesome... _________________

I'm sure if it was sold for profit, Konami would clamp down on it (I'm sure it's a matter of time before they clamp down on ITG).[/quote]

And they're 8th notes...unless you mean a different section. | No... it's a part a little earlier than that. The steps don't follow thir rhythm at all, but there's a 1/16th rhythm like "-xxxx--xxxx--xxx-xxxx--xxxx" or something, and it goes on like that for a few measures.
And in response to the original post, I think the part you have listed as "The Revolution" sounds to me like "Rhythm and Motion." Can anyone confirm one way or the other?
And "Join the Revolution" sounds reasonable for the first line... _________________

Strange, I always heard something closer to "New Generation" or "My Generation at the start of the song. You know, that has always been on of my favorite songs to listen to, but not to play. _________________
