Ok, so there's this guy I know, who thinks he's the ultimate DDR master

.. and he's always demoting other people constantly when they "cant keep up wtih his pace" (example: AAing Max300, AAA So Deep, etc. etc.).. and he's always like "you suck so badly" when you get a good on something and he's not all too much better then me though and can't do any of the things he claims to do (hypocrite!

) and when he plays he *tries* to look good while playing by hopping around like a monkey while still hitting the arrows right...

.. any suggestions on what i should do?

psst, and i cant just ignore or tell him off because hed start rumors etc. about me around my school..

Just blow him off. Since you're around the same skill level as him (correct? yes) then work your way to being better than him and kick his ass in a vs game...unless he doesn't do vs. Then just show him up skillwise. If he can't take it, and he decides to start rumors, then there's nothing you really can do short of starting your own rumors if you want to sink to his level, or firebomb his house. Either way, you shouldn't worry about pricks like him, and just go to play for fun.

Ok, so here's what you do, dare him to play Max 300 against you, once he accepts, you go through half the song just standing there, then you wait until he gets cocky and starts jumping up and down like you says he does...

I would just ignore it as much as you can...it's no use holding something like that to someone...just leave when he plays. That's what I do.

I know exactly how you are feeling. A year ago or so there was this one DDRer at my local arcade. She was so evil! My cousin was playing Matsuri Japan, he lost his 125 combo or so, and she punched him while he was playing! Really evil... But no one will ever be the best. So just ignore the person, but if it keeps occuring and you begin to lose your temper, just vent at him. You'll learn a good lesson at the end no matter what the outcome

I would tell him: You can't even entertain the idea of being able to play for as long as I can and still pass songs.

Better yet (I do this all the time when I see people being an buttocks):

You're going to have to find a player that beats 10's or the harder 9's. Something this guy isn't used to seeing. Have this player act as if he is just a newbie. The acting here is critical. He should act shy and timid. After he puts his money in, he should ask the jerk what a good song is for someone to do on his 3rd game ever. Do said song (unless he's really a jerk and gives him something way to hard. Then he'll just have to pick his own song) and play sloppily but make sure you still beat it. He should then proclaim he wants something harder (we're talking an easy 4 or so assuming the jerk picked a 1 or 2) and have him scroll through the songs slowly, as if he were listening to the songs for the first time. After he beats it he should get excited and 'accidentally' put the machine into heavy but jumping for joy on the down arrow. Again scroll through the songs and have him say he's looking for something fast. Do Max300 heavy.

Now look at his expression. Priceless, right? It gets better. He should then say he doesn't understand why everyone says this game is so hard. This'll really steam him. Then ask the jerk if he can do that song too because everyone must be able to if a newbie can.

Ah, the smell of ego crushing and public humiliation in the morning. Sorta smells like BO...
