I am interested in purchasing one of the Cobalt Flux ddr pads, And wanted to get some info about the pads from people who own them before i buy them.. ive heard all sorts of good qualities about the pads from the site, but of course cobalt flux isnt going to tell everyone the bad things about the pads in their descriptions so i was going to ask you guys; what are the bad things about the cobalt flux pads.?
thank you |

One of the biggest problems is if you fall off the platform it hurts like f**k landing on the side with your foot.
This pad is unbelievably amazing.
I went from a standard player to A'ing 7 footers on Heavy and some 8 footers.
Kiss your ghosts steps good bye and enjoy non stop mode now:) |

I've had a problem here and there with my CF pad, but nothing too bad, still the best pad I've had/used. I know there used to be a problem with the control boxes frying themselves, that issue is fixed though. There is always the occasional static charge your pad may get (Mine got one this morning), and you MAY have to rebend the panels occasionally, because of use/too much stomping. Also, and this is just a cosmetic thing, the arrow graphics get purple spots on them, which makes the pad look weird, but still works fine. And another cosmetic issue, the lexan gets scuffed up from use and no longer looks as shiny as when you first get it. |

Also, in relation to mastas post, skin + sheetmetal + sharp corners = OUCH. Please, wear shoes on this pad, it'll do you wonders, and if you don't feel like wearing shoes, atleast wear some socks, your feet will love you for it, especially if you step on the edge. And when transporting it, be careful, I've gotten several nice gashes in my hand from the sheetmetal. |

Mine was put together somewhat sloppily, with the plasic squares rubbing up against eachother and reducing their flexibility.
The sheet metal can be a pain, as you have to rebend it quite often.
The pad can sometimes be too sensitive and register double taps when I'm going through songs and whatnot.
Recently, my control box stopped working for no apparent reason, so I'll be getting another one thanks to the six month warranty.
And, oh yeah, the "select" button is a real pain because it actually functions as the triangle button instead of the select button. This means I have to use my Dualshock controller to open up edits in MAX US and to edit oni courses in MAX2 JP.
Other than that, it's great. |

Yeah, but the "real pain" to select edits is a lot better than the hard resets that a select and start at the rear USED to cause. |

Can the pad mess up if you slide it, or is it only with doubles pads? Also, why does that happen with the doubles pads? What causes the pads to mess up?
