Well I can be 2 ways, if you happen to mess up my game somehow and your a noob expect to be treated the same way. I hate it when people I don't know shadow me when I am playing it's annoying. With friends they will respect my decision to play alone without shadowing. It's like if you treat me like crap expect to be treated like that in return. I don't mind teaching someone how to play, cause I like to give advice on how to do better. That's how I got better. I will ridicule and laugh at those people if you make fun the way I play, playing Japanese songs, or just act retarded! |

When they are interested in the game and want to get better, good. Advice will be given if they really need it or ask.
If they get frustrated and think it's more fun to STOMP on the pads and declare how retarded the game is, they can go find another game.
(Thought this thread would be about noob posters!) |

It depends really. most of the time im poilte when i see someone new at the game, but when they act arrogant (via. giving me crap bout my style, insulting other people, acting cocky) i just plain give em h3ll, ya know show em up or my favirote changing the difficulty their on or putting on mods with the arrows when they dont pay attention. _________________

To me, everyone that's been playing under 1 year is a noob. No matter how good they are or how bad they are, they're a noob. Noob doesn't mean someone sucks, it means they just started playing. _________________

It depends.
Some people just annoy me from the start, and I'm not very willing to help someone that annoys me. |

1st thing: if you call someone a noob, your are referring to n00b, n00b is 1337 for someone who lacks skill, or someone that is new and is a lamer, or someone that has been playing for a long time and still sucks. For the record, newb is the appropriate language to call someone that is new to the game (newb being short for newbie). And this is no joke, these days on the internet you have to get it right or someone will lose a nut.
2nd of all: Your idea of newb is too technical.
What if someone had played maybe once a week for an hour for a year and someone had played 1 hour every other day for a half year. The person who played for a half year would have much more experience, playtime and probably be better than the person who had played for a year. And thus, I completely disagree with your statement.
...
Anyway, I try and help everyone learn to play. I don't go out of my way to help people, but if they ask for suggestions I do my best. If the person is doing light and are all, "OH MAN! I can get 40 combo its COOZ MAN! I PLAY ALL DAY IVE PLAYED THIS SONG 50 BILIONZ!!" then I will be like, "stfu nub" and play legend of max for the first song on heavy. You always gotta show up the annoying nubs, not that I hate them, but once they realise that they have no skill, then they will back off, play it cool, and ask for your advice. Never let a nub think they are better than you, you will become so annoyed that you will want to rip off the bar and jam it down their throat. So show em up early |

If they are willing to learn, I'm more than happy to show them how to play.
I taught my cousin to play, he's only 9 years old.
I've had many join me on the pad and some I've even paid for their first time. _________________

i would also like to add that if its a hot girl i dont mind lending a helping hand ... but those damn noobs that beat a song on light like cutie chaser and think there "all good " (ive seen it) i would like to hang them from the bar as a warning to ALL noobs. and then would pull some max 300 heavy to put them to shame. _________________

He's not lying, he did this to me this to me the first time I met him. It's a shame I'm almost equal in skill to him and have been playing half the time. (not really, you can still totally own my ass on Sakura and Bag heavy, Oscar)
Anyway, on to the point of my post, noobs that act like jerks, think they are awesome, proceed to stomp on the pad when they get mad, ect. I do not help. A noob that does what I did when I went to the arcade for the first time, wait your turn quietly, ask nicely for help, and only ask for help when you really need it, be courteous to everyone and try to make friends, will get my help every time. _________________

Speaking of stomping...
My friend is a decent ddr player, he can do all the 8's (has some trouble with catas, can't do 10's). Whenever he plays on a machine with a bad arrow (one that sticks or simply doesnt register) he like jumps on it as hard as he can with both feet a billion times and will say stuff like 'F*** YOU!!!!" and 'YOU PIECE OF SH**"
Personally I can't stand it when he does that. First of all, he is damaging the machine even more. Second, he is being an idiot, because obviously pouding it 50 times in a row isn't going to make it register any better... seriously, if he does it again I dunno what I'm gonna do. |
