I've noticed that there isn't an "Official" DMX/DF thread. So I decided to start one.

So, just start some gameplay disscusion or something. Just try to keep it on the subject of DMX/DF. Have fun! E1.gif

Well, I know that these type of threads don't hold together, but I won't be the one to say I didn't do anything about it...

Lesseee...

My favorite songs are Heaven is a '57 Metallic Grey (Gimmix), It's A Party!, and Funky Modeling. This is the only Bemani that I actually do routines, especially Funky and Heaven...

..Umm, I got 3/4 of the way on all three Marathons on J-Append, but the sensors are slow to respond here, so it's kinda hard...

And yes, I wish they would continue the series...

in 10 years the DMX machines will be considered rare. Do you think they will be worth more or less when they are rare?

I think more because there are gonna be those out there trying to collect the entire Bemani series.

My dream is to have all the Bemani machines in my house. I doubt that'll happen.

Well, this is something that I don't usually see.

Anyway, now's the time for me to talk the DMX talk. I want DMX JParadise (not JParadise Append nor J-Append) really bad cuz' it's the only machine that I've to play. I've played once at Nickel City in San Jose (w/c is still there and getting reports that it's broken).

I carry the highest combo on DMX Marathon Course here in San Francisco: 5086. I've finished 2nd Mix Marathon Course 10 times. I have two Wild Freestyle routines: Wild Single Enter The Dragon, and Wild Double Happy-Hopper.

My most fave song on DMX JParadise is Absolute. B4U's my fave song to make fun of.

Did a full combo on most of the Wild Double songs like Dynamite Rave (B4 ZA BEAT Mix), Happy-hopper, Quickening, and Broken My Heart.

I wish i could get a DMX at my arcade.. we've just gotta settle for DF.. Nothing that I haven't S'ed on doubles or singles.. Just getting a little bored with it.. which is why I've been playing ddr, and only ddr, for the past 2 weeks.

Analysis of Man and Woman? Korean? Dance Freaks! *high five*

The only wild singles S I never got was Afronova Primevil. I got my Heaven is a '57 S several times using my feet for the triples too. I've seen people get away with whipping their arms across really fast but that isn't as impressive. And then on doubles ... I forget. As soon as the DDR machine arrived everyone forgot how to play DMX. Not that its hard to learn.

There are codes for this game too. Besides the mild/wild switch you can also enter these codes while choosing your song:
left.gif left.gif right.gif right.gif left.gif left.gif right.gif right.gif - toggle Two Lane Mode
left.gif left.gif right.gif right.gif left.gif right.gif left.gif right.gif - toggle Cross Mode
And theres another for mirror but once I got it I couldn't figure out how to reproduce it. Doh! If you already knew then nevermind. But I never saw those posted anywhere before I figured them out.

If I wasn't going out of state next month, I'd drag you to the Ventura DMX tournament.

DMX is my favorite Bemani game. I really didn't learn the scoring aspect of the game until after B3, the first DMX tourney I entered. There, I learned how to watch my swipes and got better.

I've passed the 2nd Mix marathon course just once, and my highest combo has been 3700 (I will soon beat Siggy's one day E13.gif ).

I now only play the 2nd Mix machine at Milpitas Golfland because the JParadise machine in Monterey (which is closer to me) is damn near broken, and the owner of the JParadise machine in Salinas took it out of the local arcade.

I was wondering if you all move your arms with grace to swipe note or play staccato.

very true. I used to flick my wrist when playing. 1.) tires you out faster and 2.) just doesnt look cool.

the first song i learned to be smooth with my movements was on butterfly wild. thats a good learning song

Umm... sorry for asking such a newbyish question, but can anybody tell me how to switch the difficulty to wild mode? If it makes a difference I play on a 2nd mix. Thanks!

After you put in your credits, hold RIGHT and press SELECT. There, you can select your mode (single or double; preselected courses, pick your own song, internet ranking or marathon course)

When you pick your own song, you can choose difficulty, which you then can switch to WILD.

Yeah, so my school of all places (Penn State Worthington) got Dance Freaks/Maniax/whatever, and I'm wondering of there's any songs to unlock or any secrets and if so, how to unlock them. Thanks.

The only "secret" really is if you want to select all your songs individually, just hold down on rightsel.gif and press start. You can still pick the courses, but this mode lets you select difficulty and modifiers. If you don't do a course, you can't do the sudden death extra stage. You get the extra stage if you finish your last song with an "S" score.

Yeah, that's all I have to say about that.
