Right now I'm writing some tournament registration software for fun, and I was wondering if there was any place out there that had a database with all of (or most of) the DDR songs and their corresponding max combos on each difficulty.

Plaintext, Excel, Access... What format doesn't matter, just as long as it's accurate and it's something I can ultimately parse correctly. Sure I could just let the person enter the song and max combo in by hand, but I want to make this a user-friendly as possible.

Any help that can be offered, or and assistance in pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Well, while the stepchart database is expansive, it's not complete. You'll find many a stepchart which doesn't exist...

One other thing: What machines are you using? Don't forget, some machines count a jump as 2 in a combo, while others count it as 1...

Is it max combo that you are looking for or the total number of steps?

you can just look at AAArons amazing AAA page, it has pictures of most of the songs from extreme AAAed, and you can look at the max combo.

Okay, perhaps I didn't make myself clear enough.

Yes, I'm well aware that I could go through and build a database by looking at existing lists or counting steps. But I'm not about to do this for ~550 songs, which is why I'm asking if there is a preexisting database available for download that I could use. Idally it would include the total number of steps and freezes for each song on each difficulty for singles, doubles, and 6 panel play.

Hope this makes things more clear.

It seems that toastercookie's idea will work the best for you. Going to Aaron's page will his AAA which are quite vast.

What will you be using this information for exactly?

Uhg... nevermind. You're all missing the point that I don't want to build the database from scratch for all ~550 songs with 6-9 step totals for each song. That's why I'm lookng for one already made in an Excel or SQL type database.

I was talking about something similar to the downloadable spreadsheet at the bottom of this page: http://www.vg2.com/ddrkoso/ddrpro.htm. It's still not quite what I need, but it'll have to do since noone seems to understand what I'm asking about.
