I'm a US Marine and I've been in Kuwait and Iraq for the past 4 months...Now I'm on my way home on a Navy ship...and that's the first thing I want to do....PLAY SOME DDR!!! Since I haven't played in such a long time I think I'm gonna be really bad but oh well...
What's a good DDR mix to get back in the grove of playing? _________________

Welcome back, I am sure it was hard being out all that time. The newest mix is Extreme, good songs and good onis, Max 2 and Max are still around and populate most of the region.
Try any one of those and you won't be disappointed. _________________

Yeah we had some hard times out there but the good people of the US sent us a lot of good stuff out there...
Yeah I've heard of the new mixes but I don't think I'm gonna be ready for some of those...We didn't get a chance to PT while we were out there so I'm way out of shape...But I know DDR will get me back to shapte real quick _________________

Yes, thank you! That deserves alot of credit.
I'd actually recommend the newer mixes ( MAX2 and Extreme ) anyways. They're definitely the best games for any DDR player. Just play the songs you're comfortable with and avoid the songs that are meant to challenge the hardcore players like Bag, So Deep, Burning Heat, anything by 2MB, any ten footers, etc.
On MAX2 the classic songs are in yellow and on Extreme they're in blue. DDR Extreme also relicensed some old songs that MAX2 didn't. Extreme also lets you sort 230 songs by mix so you can choose any mix that you're familiar with and then choose songs from that game. |

i'd suggest Extreme...it has pretty much a good selection of songs from the really easy all the way to the harder fun songs _________________

Take the "Screw our Government & Army!" to Random Chat if you so desperately need it. Let's just resume the answering of the question "What Mix should I play and what has happened with DDR while I've been gone?", alright? _________________

Do you think I am non existant? You think that I am not sitting at my computer, typing this right now? Answer that, punk.
On topic: Try Extreme, it has so much that you can do on it (or to it, hehehe, just kidding) _________________

I'm Canadian, so I couldn't care less what you are (no offense), but erm....thanks for defending our Southern neighbours? And I'm going with the rest the people here: Extreme's the way to go. _________________

Thanks for defending our country and letting me stay here and play DDR all the time while you risk you're life away from your family and friends. No, seriously I really respect that.
Anyway, Extreme, like they said. |

Welcome back, sir.
I'd suggest Extreme for its sheer number of songs, but if you like old-school songs, 4th+ is the way to go. The Solo version 4th Mix Plus has 6 panels allowing for a greater challenge, but those machines are extremely scarce. |

Glad to hear you're coming home! You guys did an incredible job over there. I have a ton of respect for you guys.
Now to the question: I say go for Extreme if you can find it. It has so many songs, you're sure to find something you like.

He can't believe that someone isn't stepping in lock-step behind Bush in thinking that the war in Iraq was really about defending our country from an immediate attack. Supporting the troops does not mean supporting the policies behind their actions.
Play Extreme because it's the best, but any of them will do, really. _________________

US Citizen living abroad still wants to welcome you back, and thanks you for serving the country. :D *salutes*
Assuming you've got an arcade nearby, my answer would be "ANY MIX!!!11!!!1!1!1one!1!" Otherwise, Konamix for PS1 and MAX for PS2 sound like good options...
I've heard a lot about Extreme, but I've yet the chance to play it myself, so I don't know what it's like. If you find a 3rd Korean, that's nice and old-school. 5th is neat, too. Beyond that, no Asian DDR machine experience. ;_; _________________
