Party spoiler: AAA/AAAA images from SM are really easy to fake. There are a couple of easy ways to get SM to spit them out.

-Adjust the timing in stepmania.ini so that the marvolous/perfect window is ridiciously large.
-Grab the current source from SM's CVS repository and compile in debug mode. This does such things as enable proper scoring when autoplay is enabled.

And this is ignoring Photoshop, and since the textures and fonts are all readily available, it would be rather easy to edit a shot to look like an AAA(A).

And with that, have fun.

(This doesn't answer the question of why someone would do this, but anyone with any experience with gaming online can probably answer this question)

AAAA's? well how do u get those i mean i cant get marvoluous steps cause i dont know how to make oni courses and plus i dont have EX skin or pack or whatever help me out with that stuff. and oh yeah i havent changed any difficulty on perfect stuff so its just like arcade buddy lol.

You know, they are ridiculously easy. I've AAA'd a couple of BMR's edits. Namely, Speedway, V (I've gotten it down to 4 perfects and the rest marvelous), and a bunch I can't remember though now that I changed to the newest CVS release for Stepmania, all of my scores are lost so I'll have to do it again. I'll probably do Speedway the next time I play though so...yeah.
