Hi. I'm polling you guys.
which version is better, song-wise/step-wise:
Drop the Bomb (Norm) -OR- Drop the Bomb (System F.S. mis)
Dynomite Rave (norm) -OR- Dynomite Rave (Down Bird SOTA mis)
Candy HEART -OR- Candy STAR
Personaly, I like Drop the Bomb (norm) for the steps and the System S.F. mix for the actual music.
Dynamite Rave (norm) both ways...as well as Candy HEART (or whichever is the vocal mix) _________________

For me, Dynamite Rave's 3rd Mix original and the Down Bird SOTA mix are pretty identical, although I do like the trance/techno sound of the latter. (On the PS2 DDRMAX, I actually made up an Edit Mode of the SOTA mix using the Light steps of the original...)
I prefer the original mix of Drop The Bomb by far for playability... the System SF mix is cool as well, but the music of the original is just too da*n catchy.
And Candy (Star) for sure... Candy (Heart) is okay, but I feel even more strongly about the catchiness of the music and step placement here.
(At least at the beginning, I noticed Love (Heart) Shine shows strong influences from Candy (Heart)... same artist, of course...)

All the originals are better, both in terms of steps and in terms of music.
Dynamite Rave > SOTA Mix
Drop The Bomb > Sys. SF Mix

Remixes suck. Remixes always consistently suck, because they are just a cheap way to increase the quanity of a DDR mix's song list. Instead of licensing or creating a whole new song, why not just make something similar to an existing song. It can be done in about 5 minutes and saves money!
They only way remixes can be considered good is by considering how much money they save Konami. |

I usually like the remixes more than the originals, although there are a few exceptions (Look to the Sky being one). _________________

I almost always think remixes are better than the originals. Most of the time they just improve on what sucked about the original. How DtB System's steps cant compare to the original, but atleast the song sounds a little better. _________________

Except for the whole bobm thing.
The lyrics in SF mix don't quite have the punch of the original.
DRDBSM has weaker vocals than the original, but the overall sound is better.
The lyrics from Candy <3 piss me off. |

okay okay, we're getting sidetracked...these questions can be answered in the whole "what's your favorite song" thread. I think it would work rather well actually. _________________
