Need Session Mode tech info

What kind of cables are used? What are the pinouts? Got any photos of the stuff?

Also, can anybody confirm from first hand experience what Drummania mixes will work with Guitar Freaks 6th? Is it only 5th, or is it possible to get some limited use with something like 4th, or an even earlier version? KBM 3 works with GF 5th and 6th, which has me wondering.

It uses standard RCA cables. It doesn't loook terribly complicated. I'd believe that the multi-player box just sends an audio signal through the cables along with a sub-audible data stream.

I think it goes like this:

Red In 1/Red Out 1/Red In 2/Red Out 2/Red In 3/Red Out 3
White In 1/White Out 1/White In 2/White Out 3/White In 3/White Out 3

One is loopback to the machine, while the other two sets connect to the other machines.

I think I have a picture somewhere of what it looks like. I'll post it if I find it.

I know for a fact that KBM works with GF5/DM4 and GF6/DM5. It doesn't work with anything beyond GF7/DM6. I believe that DM2/GF3 were the first ones that could session together. I also believe that they have to be complimentary versions to session. I.e. no sessioning with GF6/DM3.
