StepMania Easter Egg or WTF!?

I was playing Freckles-Sobakasu, and i was full perfect combo'ing the song to get an AAA score with my fingers, when like 1/2 way through the song Sailor Moon or some other girl in a japanese schoolgirl uniform pops out of the side of the screen and i hear "WHOOPSIE!" or whatever. You know, like when you play Mortal Kombat and they guy in the blue shirt pops out of the side of the screen. I freaked out and almost pissed my pants cause i was trying so hard to AAA it. I still aaa'ed it, but that freaked me out.
