I live in Sounthern cali, LA and it has been too hot to play. It's too hot play at home in the basement and I have no ride to an arcade. I'm fat too, 5'7 170. Anyone else have this problem. |

I live in the humid heat of Alabama.
It doesn't get 110+ degrees here, but 100% humidity + 97 degree weather is not pleasant.
I'm skinny (5'10" 121lbs), but I still get hot. And I still play. Though I don't play at home.
Just place a fan near you. It helps. |

I have rediscovered the importance of drinking eight glasses of water a day. Keep some handy at all times. _________________

It gets hot as hell in Iowa also. Its very very hot in my arcade always, with no fans nearby the arcade machine. My friend and I go in, play fora few hours and come out drenched in sweat. Sucks to sweat that much, but its a good workout and its only sweat. Other then sweating, heat doesn't bother me. |

when i used to play ddr at home (before my ps2 died), i'd play w/o a shirt, next to a fan, and piles of empty water bottles. then my sis would walk in and be like wtf?
when i play at teh arcade, i bring an extra shirt cause i sweat like a mutha. |

I couldn't play ddr without a fan. I'd die. just like VGS said, it's nasty here. and in my arcade, we're spoiled. two huge fans on the floor next to the machine. _________________

I go to the same arcade as Mouse and VGS, and it's always hot inside of the arcade because all of the people that walk around in it. There is normally a lot of body heat circulating around DDR, from all of our regulars sitting around, and all of the bypassers who decide that they want to stand and watch people play.
But, I never really notice it. Fans do really make a big difference. In fact, when I'm playing at our arcade, I get a bit chilly. _________________

yeah, our arcade did something right and placed fans on either side of our machine...nothing like getting hardened nipples from a blast of cold air after working up a sweat _________________

You should be very thankful that the weather has been like this. You should imagine the valley weather...thus I am in Southern California myself and I find this weather truly pleasant. Even in your base ment. You should always have water and a method of air conditioning at your disposal at all times during a time like this. _________________

Personally I hate this weather. I'm one one of those people who wear a t-shirt in 50 degree. |

No, it's pretty decent over here in Jersey, but I gotta go all the way to the shore just to play with no mall and DDR near me. _________________

you want frustrating? try playing on a moving cruise ship. sank $110 bucks into that thing, and I'm wearing an autographed shirt I got for free for doing it. _________________
