I'm a bit confused. You like the current softpad you own? If so, what make/model is it?
I checked the links you provided, the 2nd auction has ended and won't display. The first one looks incredibly similar to the 1st generation Red Octane pads.

However, I don't like the ambiguous stats the thing has.
# Condition: New
# Packaging: In Retail Package. May vary.
# Color: Black
# Manufacturer: Third Party
# Model No:
# Weight: 4 lbs
# Included: 1 PS2 DDR Mat Deluxe
# Platform: PS2, PS2 Slim
# Region: Universal
This sounds like crap to me, no matter what it's appearance. The general rule is do NOT buy any DDR pad off Ebay. If you want to have a quality game experience, stick with known brands. However, if you're really interested in this auction, then at least contact the seller and find out who the manufacturer is. If he can't tell you, then it's almost certainly a cheap knock-off.
As far as softpads go, I always considered the Red Octane Ignition pads the best bang for your buck.

If you like soft pads, this is about as good as it gets. _________________

Well I currently have a Red Octane Ignition Pad, either generation 1 or 2
I got it at a independent game store that does trade ins, and I got it for a freaking steal at $20
Thing is I have three other friends who play DDR with me, and everyone loves the thing so much more than the crappy soft pad that Konami gives us, so I want one more for them, and for me to do doubles
I would love another Red Octant Ignition Pad, I just can't drop down $60+ for it right now _________________

Well, if you don't have the cash, then you could investigate the ebay one more. But I still say, save up and buy a Red Octane. Perhaps you could post in the marketplace forums here on DDRFreak.com and ask if anyone has a new Red Octane they'd like to sell?
