does anybody here know how's the 'old players' like Osmin, Yoshi, Brilliant Steppers, Nekoniwa, Koshiru, A-Team, Kevin (Dam Dariram) are all doing now?
and the 2nd-tier generation after-that: KidZero, Jenith, Clark Kent, Mel B, Prof. Gorgeous, ChibiSparkle, chango, etc
(man, even just mentioning these names really brings back a flash of great memories back then!..)

are they having a 'normal' corporate jobs (though i would personally add: 'boring life') now?

are they married now, and having a settled-down life?
no more fun & adventure back like in those DDR days?

I would really gladly appreciate if anybody who (seriously) knows about ANY of 'em's current living conditions, to either reply here, but if suppose you know the BEST info (ie: detailed-info of their whereabouts & what they're doing now), please email me directly at: [email protected] (yes this is my real name, folks).

oh, btw, the reason i'm back posting in this board,
is because i've just accidentally browsed Youtube, and found Kevin's DamDariram routines, and then it 'continued' into Brilliant Steppers, Yoshi's videos, etc...
it really brings back old and ever-fun memories of DDR scene.....that i'd never forget...

i don't know if it's only me, but if i were given a choice, then i'd gladly go back to those days again.
Working-life now is just soo damn different... it can NEVER be as fun as those DDR days.. in fact, life is pretty boring nowadays..
so to those 'old players' out there, if you're reading this, please feel free to post and share your life-story here also, i'd be more than glad to look at what's going on with you now!

Warm regards,
Dinkot

what about JSB

his interview with that random guy in front of the old amusement ride was funny

Also, as a side note, if any of the former top-tier players came back they'd probably be extremely far behind the current top-tier players- in ITG at the very least, most likely DDR too.

Lies, I play with Gay Goblin now and he's still up there.

Some of the MD guys are playing again now, not as oldschool as the names you mentioned, but they did start very, very early and are old names in the community... But they're mostly doing it to stay in shape.

No, that means he's still playing. I'm talking about if you took someone that hasn't played at all since their prime years ago, and then placed them in a SN2 tournament with the current upper-level players....no contest. Put them in an ITG2 tournie and hilarity would ensue.

While we're on the topic of former top tier players, and I've always been curious about this- who were the top tier players wayyyy back in like, 2nd-5th mix days? Who were some of the immerging PA players when freestyle was still huge, and what was it like in the old days in general?

I'm looking for answers from people that were around and actively playing that long ago, not just people that *heard* about what it was like or someone who's *heard* of the former top tier players. Primary sources brotha

Also, any 1st mix players here?

I'm not sure if DGCFlipman is considered oldschool, but he's currently living in Hawaii and is a flight attendant for northwest. He came back to Michigan and played a few songs, and got two greats on so deep on reverse and dark or something, haha.

Nope, never heard from any of them.

But I got a chance to talk with tzwada, when he sent me a pm about his son Ryota, who is no longer on his dance mat, and is now into reading and writing stories....

Other note, I don't know if his lil bro is still into DDR....

I havn't been on here in a LONG time...

Uh, I'm running my own ITG2 arcade/internet cafe...yeah, WoW has pretty much sucked my life away.

No, you probably don't recognize me and I probably don't care. But I'm an older player and this is what I'm doing >.<

Anyone play Alliance Side on Hellscream?

Edit: I remember when people were still trying to AAA Max 300

(I remember earlier stuff too. DDR 1.5 Mix anyone?)
