Strong control box

Hi.

We have metal dance mats at our youth group, which have stood the test of time surprisingly well, but the control boxes that sit between the mat and the playstation 2 keep breaking.

Does anyone know of a robust, youth-group-proof make of control box?? We have tried two makes, including this: http://www.futuremax.nl/product_info.php?products_id=542
but we have had both types damaged in a matter of months.

Our latest strategy is to get longer cables to the box, and put them on the table at hand height so that the youth don't stand on them. However, ideally the things wouldn't be so flimsy (the problem with two of the boxes was the connecting wire got damaged at the point it enters the box, causing loose connections).

I'd suggest commissioning someone on here to build you a couple of these, and specify that you need them to be very sturdy.

Yeah, that's probably the best bet for a sturdy one.

The only other idea I have is just to get longer cables and put them on the table, like you mentioned already.
