I started a project a few days ago. The goal of this project was to make a guide that can take someone from beginner to expert and beyond.

The result is this guide:

How to Play DDR: From Beginning to Expert

*note* This guide is VERY LONG (5000) words, so I have attempted to divide it up.

The result is four sections:

How to Play DDR: Beginner to Intermediate

How to Play DDR: Intermediate to Advanced

How to Play DDR: Advanced to Pro

How to Play DDR: Pro

you might want to add the crossover of death (Healing D-vision)
BTW i didn't know TLOM had the so called "death run". I thought that was something else

In DDR, 1/16 appear as purple in Solo/Rainbow. They're yellow in note.

TLOM and PSMO I believe were the first to be referenced about it. After that, I think anything that comes at you with blinding speed usually is given that name.

If I talk about the crossover of death in HDVO, it would be in the pro section. The reason is that the only way I have seen people getting through it is by bracketing.

Also, I knew I would run into a problem with the 1/16th note coloring in DDR, so that's why I steered away from it. In solo, its purple, on note, its yellow, in ITG its green. It's just bananas.

This should be helpful to a lot of people. Good stuff.

A few comments on the Advanced-to-Pro section:

The text and pic of the mines section don't seem coordinated.

I also think you should mention the ways to "fake" it in the hands and step jump sequence... in other words, stomp on the brackets to hit 3/4 arrows at a time, and for step jumps, just jump your way through it rather than trying to read it and coordinate the footwork.

I also think the gallops section needs more explanation when you're talking about the different kinds of gallops. The two examples you give are different in both the timing AND the footwork. Your description really doesn't explain either distinction.

*added notes on crossover of death and some notes on accuracy building
[Advanced to Pro]

*changed 1/16th note notation to mention both solo coloring as well as note coloring in DDR

*notes on bracketing (hitting three or four arrows at once) included in advanced to pro section - will revise further to mention hitting hands and quads.

I will revise the way the mine pic and text are put together as well as the gallops explanation.

Thanks guys!
