New years dancing game goals

I was thinking about new years resolutions at the same time I was thinking abou my AAA count, and began to wonder how many AAA's I would be able to get in a year. That's how the idea for me to set a bunch of dancing game goals came about.

Here are my goals for 2009:

1) 50 total heavy/oni single AAA's
(13/50)

2) 3 total single heavy/oni arcade AAA's
(0/3)




3) 1 10 footer AAA
(0/1)

4) 5 10 footer SDG's
(0/5)

6) 1 single expert 11 footer FEC
(0/1)

My goal for next year is to finally AAA a 10 footer on Singles.

I plan to start playing Doubles more often. I definitely want to start playing more competitively.

My Goals..

Pass Vertex squared expert doubles (I can get to the speed up)
Pass Paranoia Hades doubles (only tried this twice so far)

Get my Energizer expert doubles score over 86%


Haoie: For a dance pad, i recommend a cobalt flux if you have the money. For metal pads they are the only ones that are durable IMO. I have 2 and have never had any issues. (have had for over a year)

I use to have 2 metal red octanes, 1 broke in a week, the other in a month.

The CFs come with usb so you can hook up to your computer for stepmania. You can also Mod them so they are not flat, and have the sunken arrow feel of an arcade

AA Max 300 Super Max-Me-Mix Expert (accidentally really really close)
Full Combo Max 300 (I can do this, but I hardly play Max 300)

Okay, so this topic is about goals to meet by the end of next year (December 31, 2009 at 11:59 pm with one second to spare until the fireworks)? I do not bother with new year resolutions because they are like promises I cannot keep (or at least I do not want to take the risk of promise-breaking, which is why I also do not make promises anymore). Man, you guys are insane -- I just want to pass more songs. I would really like to at least be able to score most of the steps in the gallop-sounding sections of Walking on Fire and Bend Your Mind on expert. I also care more about endurance and stamina than I do speed or even accuracy or precision (I do not really care about speed, though). I do not know if I shall ever triple star expert songs (or heavy/expert Dance Dance Revolution songs, wait, that would be AAA) as I have yet to triple star any -- even novice -- song using the pad. I have only a few full perfect combo AAA's, and they all are no more than light/basic. I can currently scrape by on some nine-blocks on In The Groove, but I cannot pass any Dance Dance Revolution nine-footers without the bar (although I did manage to pass Rain of Sorrow with like a B or C yesterday, leaving me to believe it was overrated). On the X scale, I have scraped by on a few 12- and 13-block songs, but I still cannot pass Sunkiss Drop on expert. I suppose I shall know I am in bad shape if I cannot pass nine-footers and most of the nine-block In The Groove songs by the end of next year. I wonder if I shall be able to pass Saber Wing Akira Ishihara Headshot Mix on expert (heavy) by then, maybe even figure out Horatio expert (ha, that is a laugh ). I wish you all well with your goals; let me know if there is anything I can do to be helpful/useful.

I just want to AAA any (Expert) song at this point. I would also like to pass 10 footers (and higher). I been playing less than a year, and could already most pass 9's, and 1 10 (sakura heavy), so anything is possible!

I just fulfilled my goal for this year, which was to pass at least one 13 by the end of the year. Tonight I passed the following songs: Eggman's Quasar 10 (not a 10), Welcome to Rainbow 13, Infernoplex 13, The Final Hour 12.

I wanted to go on and play a 14 like Destination or another 13 like Summer, but we had to pack up...

Let's see, by the end of this year, I want to accomplish this:

Beat Stratofortress
** a 12.
SDE I can walk on water, I can fly.


My goals for 2009 (at least score wise) would be roughly this:
** Pandemonium
** Welcome to Rainbow
* Boss on Parade
SDE a 12.

Stratofortress has some technically challenging sections, plus it's just generally hard. Definitely out of my range for a while.

** Pandemonium 13 is impressive.

Where can I download Boss on Parade?

Which version of I can walk on water, I can fly are you trying to SDE?

You could probably SDE Delirium if you're in the ballpark. It's pretty straight forward, as you know.

get to 50 simfiles (created by me. currently at 41)

next year:

pass an official 13
quad some expert charts (9's and 10's)
get to 120 simfiles (shooting for 150)
work on my stamina
get better at doubles
learn how to bracket rape properly
work on my 1x no bar skills
