DDR Freak

Does anyone even come here anymore? I remember back in the good old days this was my favorite forum on the internet. Now that DDR is hanging on to the last threads of its life, does anyone even bother talking about it? I just can't imagine even the die-hard fans talking about a game that basically doesn't exist.

I haven't heard a single thing about DDR since ITG went under, and that was a couple years ago.

DDR isn't dying. It used to be a giant fad, which is why this place used to be bustling. But now the fad is over, and it's falling back into its rightful place as a niche game played mostly by dedicated players. People who come here are usually really good, which means there aren't a lot of them anymore.

Doesn't every kid classified as a geek by the Geek Rating Association in America between 12 and 18 play the game? I know once upon a time when I played regularly people I talked to didn't know about this site or they did and they didn't post on forums.

Forums in general are for people who care more than usual. Or care enough to troll.

The scene definitely isn't what it used to be. I think its because other rhythm games took the spotlight from DDR. Sup Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
