All I can say is that conceptually the control scheme doesn't look any stupider than the idea of trying to make GH portable to begin with. It might work, I'll just have to try before buying

I actually think it's a pretty cool idea, which is wierd coming from me since I hate Guitar Hero, but of course I'm the kind of guy who obsesses over obscure portable games that make you look like a wapanese in public (Warioware: Twisted, Kirby's Tilt and Tumble, Yoshi's Topsy Turvy, Boktai, etc). My guess is that the songlist will suck and the touchscreen controls will be finicky. Aside from that, "IM PLYIN GITAR GYRO IN PUBLICS N PORTABLES GYZ!!!"

I agree, I'll mostly buy it for the uniqueness. I mean, instead of stealing an idea, they made an original one (Guitar Controller on a portable system? Interesting). Looks wierd now, but once we see more & we get a chance to try it out, I'll give my final verdit.

The only thing I'll give it is that it's an interesting concept - that new-fangled controller that is.

I suppose we had to expect this. I think we all remember beatmania and Dance Dance Revolution doing the exact same thing for the Game Boy Color in Japan. On the flip side, there's now another reason to use that guitar pick stylus from Jam Sessions.
