|
|
I'm getting ready to buy two metal pads for doubles play and would like some advice/feedback on what the assumptions I'm making from reading the forums.
Ninja pads-from the thread I found on these people seem to be really happy with them, although the thread was old. Are they still considered to be good? My main interest for considering these is that I could buy 2 and still have enough money left over to buy some stuff from DJ Dao. I'm a little leery of 1 inch pads, since I remember at an anime convention a few years ago we got metal pads from Red Octane and they literally shattered when my 240lb self did a song on easy. And I was the first person to use it.
Arcade-I wouldn't be able to just buy an arcade due to financial restrictions, probably used platforms. The main reason I'm considering this is that they sometimes show up at local arcade auctions, eliminating shipping costs. Would it be possible to convert these for use on a PS2/Xbox/PC? Would buying 2 platforms from single machines be a problem? I think I remember reading somewhere that the single machines used different sensors, although the details in my memory are sketchy.
CF-I would absolutely have to have the arcade upgrade for these. Is it worth the extra money when compared to the other options?
Blueshark-The 3 inch version sounds pretty cool on paper. Is there any chance of them making a control box that would work on PS2/Xbox/USB, just like everyone else?
And as a general question for any pad, is there a anything to Gamecube converter that will regsiter simultaneous up/down and left/right steps? It would be cool to use whatever I get on Mario DDR. |

i believe blue shark pads are compatible with ps2 and xbox. not sure about pc though. but those are, imo, the most realistic arcade experience. and they kick buttocks |
