I just wanted to post this touching story because I figured all of you here at DDRFreak could appreciate it. I've been playing DDR for almost 2 years, and I often play it at home. My younger brother (he'll be 10 in October) was born without arms. Obviously, this has made life difficult for him. He can't do the things other children are able to grow up doing, and this often upsets him.

Last year a friend of mine was playing DDR when my brother came home from seeing a movie with my parents. He seemed to in a rather cheery mood. Apparently he really enjoyed the movie he saw. He had really never given DDR a shot before because he had thought it would prove to be too difficult. As soon as he got on the pad, I knew he was destined for dancing game greatness. He passed through beginner and light mode easily.

My family members and I have noticed an extraordinary increase of confidence in him. He seems to smile more radiantly, laugh heartier, and there's almost always a twinkle of happiness in his eyes. He plays at the local arcade and people often gather around to watch him. They always seem to be in disbelief that someone with no arms can play this game so well. He claims he isn't even bothered by the occasional heckler. I don't know how he does this. There's one particular occasion that really gets me. My brother was pounding away when a couple of guys who were up to no good started makin' trouble in the neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said , "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air." I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said 'Fresh' and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I would say that this cab was rare, but I thought , "Nah, forget it, yo homes, to Bel Air!"

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo homes, smell ya later!" I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel Air.

If it was real, I bet the kid would look real funny playing without arms.

I laughed hard, this is one of the funniest things I've read here in a while.

I'm adding this to my favorites.

Welcome to the world of the "copypasta".

The "Rickroll", if you will.

In other words, some douche thinks this is 4chan.

I'm happy to hear about your little brother! When I started reading the story at the beginning I felt horrible for him. I couldn't imagine life without arms...I wouldn't even be typing this right now without them! There's so many things he can't do like typing, using a phone, playing video games, ect. and it all just made me feel really bad for him.

But then you got to the part where he was playing DDR and I'm so glad to here that he's becoming more confident! I hope he keeps playing and continues to feel good about himself.

You think being born with no arms is hard? Try being born with 3. Seriously, imagine being bottom-left-handed. It's harsh.

This may not be 4chan, but I think the words, 'EPIC' and 'FAIL' apply here.

Not much chance of this story, if seen anywhere online, being true.

Truth is a bit of a rare commodity, here.

When I was reading the first post, I read that he plays on the local arcade machine.

It began to occur to me 'how the hell does he select a song if he doesn't have arms?'.

Then I read the rest of the story and I understood.
